Inch valves are designed for hydrostatic travel systems of mobile machines as a means for superior control of the main hydraulic generator control pressure with automatic speed control. Manufactured in two-way and three-way versions, they are used to brake or stop the machine quickly and to start it slowly when automatic control is not in operation. The use of the two- or three-way design depends on the principle arrangement of the hydrogenerator control.
